Photojournalist

Misha Cohen is a freelance photojournalist based in Portland, Oregon. She was raised in California, and graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in studio art and a minor in anthropology. There her focus was in photography and video. Misha later studied journalism at New York University, sps, with a desire to compliment her documentary photography with impactful text. Her years long project from Bhutan to the Bronx is still being used to aid refugee resettlement. 

Misha has worked with the United Nations, the International Rescue Committee, the Huffington Post (now HuffPost), San Francisco magazine and a variety of other news outlets and organizations.

She is dedicated to creating intimate and powerful images that inspire and educate viewers while honoring those she features.
